FNL: Authentic Voices

Georgia Prescott at the Center for Spiritual Awareness in Sacramento, Authentic Voices: Our Stories is a one-hour reader’s theater experience that explores how our individual differences shape our lived experiences. Through authentic personal storytelling, music, and humor, audience members are invited on a healing journey that deepens understanding of our shared humanity while celebrating the richness of our differences. The performance encourages greater empathy, resilience, and compassion while inspiring participants to become active cocreators of a more inclusive world.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. envisioned the Beloved Community not as a place without conflict, but as a community where differences are embraced and conflicts are transformed through understanding, reconciliation, goodwill, and love.
